The Ministry of Health and the Central Board of Health are observing Mosquito Awareness Week to raise public awareness about the prevention of mosquito-borne diseases.

Mosquitoes are vectors for diseases such as malaria, dengue fever, Zika virus, and chikungunya, which pose significant health risks to communities.

During Mosquito Awareness Week, the Ministry of Health will be educating the public about the importance of eliminating mosquito breeding sites, using insect repellents, and employing other preventive measures to reduce the spread of mosquito-borne illnesses.

By promoting awareness and proactive measures, the Ministry aims to protect public health and mitigate the impact of mosquito-borne diseases on communities.
