Providenciales, Turks and Caicos – 14:oo, April 12, 2024  – interCaribbean Airways wishes to inform the public of a disruption to Flight JY713.

The flight, scheduled from Marigot, Dominica (DOM) at 1:15 PM AST to Bridgetown, Barbados (BGI) on Friday, April 12, 2024, encountered a technical issue shortly after departure, leading to a precautionary shutdown of one of its engines and a safe return to the departure airport.

The incident occurred minutes after takeoff when the pilot detected an irregular response in one of the aircraft engines.

Adhering to our standard operating protocols, the Captain shut down the affected engine as a precautionary measure and returned to Marigot where the aircraft landed without further incident.

Emergency procedures were implemented, and emergency services were on standby as the aircraft landed safely.

interCaribbean Airways is committed to the safety of our customers and crew, which remains our highest priority. An aircraft was dispatched to Marigot to accommodate customers affected on this flight.
