Regional Security System (RSS) – The Regional Security System’s Unity Exercise 2024 (UNEX’24) got underway today (3rd April 2024) as troops from St. Kitts and Nevis, Guyana and Antigua and Barbuda departed their respective countries and were staged in Barbados for final pre-deployment preparations.
Meanwhile, the Barbados contingent along with members of the RSS HQ have already deployed to Saint Lucia via the St. Vincent Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Vessel and are in the process of setting up the Operational Bases to include the Field Medical Facility in Saint Lucia.
UNEX’24 will take place from April 3 to 13, in St. Lucia. The activity is being co-funded by the RSS and the EU by means of the 11th European Development Fund, in collaboration with the government of St. Lucia.
