The Ministry of Health, Wellness, Social Transformation and the Environment is pleased to announce the ongoing expansion of the Emergency Room (ER) at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center.

This expansion project, currently underway, marks a significant milestone in our commitment to enhancing healthcare services for the citizens of our nation.

The expansion initiative aims to triple the size of the Emergency Room, a crucial step towards improving our capacity to address the growing healthcare needs of our community.

Health Minister, Sir Molwyn Joseph, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “The expansion of the Emergency Room at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center is a pivotal step in enhancing healthcare services for our citizens.

This significant increase in size will greatly improve our capacity to cater to the needs of patients in emergency situations.”

Furthermore, Minister Joseph emphasized, “This expansion not only triples the size of the ER but also prioritizes patient privacy, fostering a conducive environment for effective Doctor/Nurse to patient interactions.
