On Thursday 30th November 2023, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) issued its final regularly scheduled Tropical Weather Outlook of the 2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season for the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico.

The above-normal 2023 Atlantic hurricane season ran from June 1 to November 30. The Atlantic basin saw twenty (20) named storms, seven (7) of which became hurricanes and three intensified to major hurricanes.

In its statement the weather organization further stated that the routine issuance of the Tropical Weather Outlook will resume on May 15, 2024. During the off-season, Special Tropical Weather Outlooks will be issued as conditions warrant.
