National Office of disaster Services (NODS) – Two individuals from Antigua and Barbuda are being represented at a Regional Capacity-Building Workshop to advance Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM) within the Caribbean.

The November 21 – 22 Jamaica workshop is being held under the European Union-funded BRICS Programme – Building Resilience of Cariforum States to Disaster Risks and Climate Change Impacts.

Director of NODS Sherrod James and Annetta Jackson of the Department of Gender Affairs are taking part in the workshop.
Discussions are focused on the challenges local disaster offices are encountering in implementing the CDM framework which guides the work of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA).
