Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) – The Antigua Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) had two members participating in the Ministry of Tourism’s Beach Safety and Security Unit second stage of its Canadian Lifesaving Society training and certification initiative.
This phase took place from October 28th to November 11th, 2023. The training focused on twelve Lifesaving instructors and two examiners. Participants went through rigorous training in areas such as the Bronze Medallion (second stage of lifesaving program) and first aid.
Also taking part in training were members of the Montserrat Police Force, St. Anthony’s School and staff of the beach safety and security Unit within the Ministry of tourism. The ABDF continues to provide opportunities to produce exceptional soldiers for Antigua and Barbuda.
