The Leeward Islands
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for low lying and flood prone areas of Antigua, Barbuda, Montserrat, St. Kitts, Nevis, and Anguilla valid from 4pm today until 12 noon tomorrow 3rd October 2023.

A flash flood watch means that moderate to major flooding is possible but not imminent in the watch area. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Residents in low lying and flood prone areas should make preparations for flooding to safeguard life and property. They should be prepared to move to higher ground if flooding rains develop or a flash flood warning is issued.

Tropical storm Philippe is forecast to bring moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms to the area beginning late today and extending into tomorrow. Rainfall accumulation between 2 to 5 inches are possible which could lead to flooding of low lying and flood prone areas. This watch could be updated to a warning at short notice if warranted.
Antigua and Barbuda meteorological services will continue to monitor the weather situation. Please stay tuned to local radio, television or youtube channel for the Antigua and Barbuda meteorological services for watch updates and possible warnings.
