A Tropical Storm Watch could be issued today for Antigua and Barbuda and other portions of the north east Caribbean.

According to information from the Antigua and Barbuda’s Meteorological Services, if Tropical Storm Philippe’s forecast path continues to trend towards the islands a watch is likely to go into effect by 11 am this (Sun.) morning.

The report says storm winds are still not inevitable but the chance of them reaching us is increasing especially for Barbuda.

The National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) urges residents to have their hurricane preparedness plans in place for any eventuality and continue to monitor the media for updates on the system. – the end –
