Four additional schools benefited from the Germ Buster campaign currently being carried out by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with Central Board of Health, USAID and UNICEF.

The Public Health Inspectors and the Environmental Health Aids visited the Sea View Farm Primary School, J.T Ambrose Primary School, Cobbs Cross Primary School and the Liberta Primary School.
The campaign is focused on educating children and teachers on ways to prevent infection such as how to effeciently wash hands with soap and water, how to sanitize properly in the case where water may not be available, how to cover your cough and sneeze in the elbow or a tissue, how to dispose of tissue after usage, not touching eyes, nose, ears and mouths and the importance of remaining up to date on vaccinations.

In addition, the children were also taught a hand washing jingle. Jennings Primary, S.R Olivia David Primary School in Bolans, Golden Grove Primary, Old Road Primary Schools were the first to benefit from the initiative.
The schools were also provided with posters which were created specifically with this programme in mind with superheroes fighting Germs and being dubbed GERM BUSTERS!

Masks and Sanitizers were also donated to the schools. It is the intention to have each student not only see themself as a germ buster, but also encourage other students to do the same by joining the fight against germs.
