Antigua & Barbuda Customs & Excise Department – Several Officials from the Antigua & Barbuda Customs & Excise Department successfully participated in the International Atomic Energy Agency Radiation Workshop facilitated by Mr. Ronmccrea Cushine and Mr. Haile Dennis from Jamaica .
The opening ceremony held on Tuesday 19 September allowed the participants to receive an overview of the training and special remarks were given by Mrs. Dianne Rodriques Director of Bureau Standards, Mr. Ronmccrea Cushine, IAEA Facilitator and Mr. Raju Boddu Comptroller Customs. Mr. Adrian Browne Deputy Comptroller welcomed the participants
Over the past few days participants were exposed to topics such as “ Basis of Radiation Protection”, Radiation Risks for Customs & Port Operations”
Also present at the training were representatives from the Bureau of Standards, Antigua & Barbuda Defense Force, Antigua & Barbuda Airport Authority, Antigua & Barbuda. We congratulate the participants and thank the various stakeholders for the integral role they play.
