September 15th, 2023 – The current sea conditions may exceed the acceptable levels of turbidity for intake into the Fort James Reverse Osmosis plant.

As a result, customers may experience intermittent disruptions or low pressure to their normal distribution patterns over the next several weeks. A solution in the form of an Ultra Filtration Unit has been purchased and will aid in the continuous production during turbid sea conditions.

We anticipate the arrival of this unit by the end of October 2023 and installation works will begin immediately thereafter. We solicit your patience and understanding during this period.

THE AFFECTED AREAS INCLUDE: Point, Villa, Lower Gambles, Upper Fort Road,
Public Cemetery to the corner of Family Dentistry, Agatha Goodwin Street, Upper St. John’s Street, Dickenson Bay Street, Dry Hill, Runway, Yorks Community.
