Environmental Awareness Group (EAG) – Redonda has been officially designated as a Protected Area. The Redonda Ecosystem Reserve will cover almost 30,000 hectares of land and sea, including the entire island, its surrounding seagrass meadows and an 18,000-hectare coral reef

The area will protect globally important seabird colonies, and threatened and near-threatened species- some of which are found nowhere else in the world!

Redonda’s designation is the result of ongoing efforts by the Antigua Barbuda Department of Environment, EAG, Fauna & Flora, and Re:wild.
