August 02, 2023 – The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Agency (CDEMA) just wrapped up its CARICOM Disaster Relief Unit (CDRU) training which was part of EXERCISE TRADEWINDS 2023 in Georgetown Guyana.
CDEMA in conjunction with US-SOUTHCOM facilitated the workshop which showcased first-aid training, casualty response training, and other relevant exercises to the 34 participants from eleven of the Participating States.
Aspects of training in radio communications capabilities and logistics gaps were also provided during the camp.
At the end of the CDRU training, participants received their certificates and created regional bonds of friendship.
