Climatologist Orvin Paige from the Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services (ABMS) represented Antigua and Barbuda at a regional climate workshop and was one of the many successful participants.

The Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (CIMH) stated that the Statistics in Applied Climatology – R-INSTAT regional training workshop in Bridgetown, Barbados, concluded with a Closing Ceremony during which 28 participants from 15 Caribbean countries were presented with certificates of completion.

Among the participants were 11 of the CIMH’s very own who will further contribute to regional capacity building by training others in Statistics in Applied Climatology using the R-INSTAT statistical software.

The Board, management and staff of the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology extend congratulations to the first cohort of Statistics in Applied Climatology – R-INSTAT certified personnel on a job well done!
