CABINET NOTES – The Telecommunications Division in the Ministry of Public Utilities. The Minister is seeking to access significant sums to move and install all the computers and other hardware required from its current operating location to another.
He is also seeking to modernize many of the pieces of equipment required because they are no longer state-of-the-art.
The Cabinet has agreed to provide some funding in order to ensure that all the entities-Fire, Police, EMS, and 911 operators—are adequately equipped to respond to emergencies anywhere in the country.
